The horses have hit the ground running this week at Newmarket with three wins out of the last four runners. A second victory on the board for Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum as TAJALLA scored on debut under Andrea Atzeni. Followed swiftly by success in the Listed Feilden Stakes for Prince A A Faisal’s striking 3YO colt EYDON.
A 90,000gn yearling, TAJALLA has made a notable impression as a 2YO from the off, winning on debut today in the bet365 British EBF Novice Stakes. Prominent from the initial stages and taking a keen hold, Andrea Atzeni piloted the 2YO to victory keeping on well in the final furlong. Highclere’s FRAGRANCE added pressure in the closing stages but proved no match for the son of Kessaar, a rather striking winner on debut, who took some pulling up after the line to indicate there is plenty more to come from this exciting 2YO.

Newmarket continued to provide the rub of the green for the team as the magnificent looking 3YO colt EYDON claimed the prize in the Listed Feilden Stakes. Having been runner up last time out at Newcastle in February, he stepped up the performance on his reappearance this afternoon. An imposing stamp of a colt, EYDON made it look effortless floating up the home straight going clear inside the final furlong to win comfortably under David Egan in the iconic colours of Prince Faisal.
