A fantastic day for the yard starting off with last year’s Lingfield Derby Trial winner THIRD REALM romping home in an impressive fashion to land the Listed William Hill Tapster Stakes. Koji Maeda’s BELIEVE IN LOVE followed suit taking home the spoils in the G3 William Hill Bronte Cup Fillies’ Stakes at York to make it a double across the card for the team.
THIRD REALM (2021)
THIRD REALM made his mark in no uncertain terms today at Goodwood, storming home an impressive six lengths ahead of the nearest contender. Andrea Atzeni putting in a smart performance settling the son of the Sea The Stars behind the leaders until the final two furlongs where he asked for more and THIRD REALM responded with a sharp turn of foot, sweeping passed the field to take up the running, SOMETHING ENTICING attempting to hang onto the coat tails but proving no match for the 4YO 2021 Derby runner. The win makes it the third in the race for Roger and the team.
Congratulations to Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, the manner in which THIRD REALM lengthened away today certainly makes him an exciting prospect this season.
Koji Maeda’s BELIEVE IN LOVE followed in quick succession at York. The 5YO putting her experience to good use today having clearly benefitted from her seasonal debut last time out. Piloted by Ray Dawson they battled to the line, justifying market favouritism as she put the race to bed one and a quarter lengths ahead of URBAN ARTIST from the Hughie Morrison yard in second.
