The former travelled to Haydock for a 1m2f handicap on Saturday evening. He was badly drawn under Andrea Atzeni but travelled well throughout in a strongly run race.

He moved up to track the leader Livia's Dream on turning for home before taking over the running at the furlong pole.

He idled slightly in front but stuck on well to win by a length.

On Sunday, Huffoof got off the mark in a 1m2f handicap at Pontefract. The daughter of Dalakhani made all under Silvestre de Sousa and stuck on gamely up the hill to repel the favourite Kikonga by a length and a half.

Roger said: "Tuscan Fun ran well at Ripon first time out and that race has thrown up a few winners. He stayed the trip well and there should be more to come.

"Huffoof couldn't lift a leg in heavy ground at Lingfield last time but she had run well in maidens prior to that. She stays well and got a very good ride."
