Having been beaten favourite the last two attempts it was a win well deserved for WALDLOWE, who got the job done in a workmanlike fashion to land the Unibet New Instant Roulette Novice Stakes.

A show of grit and determination this afternoon saw WALDLOWE get home in front and consequently off the mark at the fourth attempt. Drawing from stall eight under Jack Mitchell, they joined the market favourites MOUNT MARCY and SAYF AL DAWLA to make the running in the early stages. Turning into the home straight Waldlowe, quick to attend in second, made a strong challenge to Sayf Al Dawla under the familiar Cameron Noble over two furlongs out. Moving the best of the field Waldlowe powered through to take it up inside the last. Staying on well he gamely saw off the challenge from The Turpinator who was hot in pursuit in the closing stages. Waldlowe just prevailed by a neck to the runner up Marcus Tregoning trained The Turpinator and Mount Marcy from the John and Thady Gosden yard in third.

Congratulations to Newsells Park Stud and winning connections. The son of Le Havre justified favouritism in tremendous style this afternoon, prevailing in a gutsy battle. Waldlowe no doubt will have improved from the run and we hope this progression continues throughout the season.
