Less than a fortnight on from making her debut at Doncaster, Venetian Gold showed plenty of promise when winning a 14-runner Maiden at Kempton with more experienced rivals in the placings

Breaking a lot better than on debut, Venetian Gold was keen to get on with things under jockey Jack Mitchell and raced on the heels of the leaders in the early stages. Always travelling towards the outside of the field, the three-year-old St Mark's Basilica filly was left with plenty of space to accelerate into turning for home and managed to draw clear from the field to return a 1-length winner.

Congratulations to owners Apple Tree Stud, regular rider Ethan Austin & groom Taiki Kumada.
