PRISM and Marco Ghiani win in the opener at Chelmsford (number four in the pink and grey colours)

Facing a mile for the first time today, Varian Racing syndicate filly PRISM landed the opener of the Chelmsford meeting the Firework Spectacular Here Tomorrow Nursery Handicap in an impressive fashion.

The Varian Racing VI members were rewarded for their devotion to their Fast Company filly PRISM, who clearly benefitted from a step up in trip to one mile today at Chelmsford. Breaking well from stall two, champion apprentice Marco Ghiani tracked the leaders in the early stages and settled in fourth alongside market favourite Kennet from the John and Thady Gosden yard. Straightening up for home Ghiani switched Prism and ask for more under hand and heels. Making headway inside the final furlong PRISM ran on strongly, hitting the line going away a ½ length ahead of the runner up They Don’t Know.

The daughter of Fast Company found improvement today and saw the longer distance out in style, much to the delight of the Varian Racing VI syndicate members. Many congratulations to all involved and Kerry Bennet who looks after the filly. I am sure there will be lots of celebrating happening at the racecourse and at home for all members and their connections!
