The lightly raced three-year-old showed a tenacious attitude to open his account at Salisbury
Left behind at the start, Treble Bass had 3-lengths to make up from the get go and was raced at the rear with plenty of daylight between him and the rest of the field.
He was able to make up the ground as they turned back towards home and gradually kept edging his way through the field where he gave himself only one more to pass in the final furlong. He showed an incredible resilience to lay down a sustained challenge in the closing stages and win on the line by the bob of a head.
A son of Sea The Stars, he was bred to stay and the step up in trip to 1m6f really suited this afternoon.
Congratulations to winning owners Godolphin, groom Ash Bipindra and regular rider Jose Costa.
