The daughter of Tamayuz made every yard of the running under Paul Hanagan, winning by just under a length.

She settled nicely in the first-time hood and Paul was able to set an even tempo up front. He gradually quickened the pace up the long straight and had all his rivals at work with three furlongs to run.

They pack were closing entering the final furlong but Thurayaat held them all at bay to record a game success.

Roger said: "She isn't very big but she tries hard and stays well."

Thurayaat comes from a Shadwell family that has served the yard well over the years. Her Stakes-placed dam Ghaidaa (Cape Cross) is a half-sister to Oaks winner Eswarah (Unfuwain). Thurayaat is Ghaidaa's second foal, her first Tajheez, won three time for us last season. She has a filly two-year-old by Dubawi called Markaba.
