We are disappointed to report that TEONA, who delivered Group 1 glory for the yard last year in the Prix Vermeille, has been retired. The daughter of Sea The Stars unfortunately met with a season-ending injury, but she will be able to enjoy retirement and begin her second career as a broodmare.

Roger said: "It has been a huge pleasure to train Teona for owner Ali Saeed and I would like to thank him for giving me the opportunity to train her. It was a great thrill being able to win a Group 1 with her, having also won a Group 1 with her mother, Ambivalent."

Teona won three of her seven career starts, with her highlight coming at Longchamp last September when she defeated Snowfall by a length and a half under Olivier Peslier.
