The son of Oratorio had run with promise in maiden company and it was great to see him get his head in front.

He was always handy under Chris Catlin but still showed signs of greeness and was on and off the bridle.

Chris gave him plenty of time to get going and Tenor took a while to wear down the leader, Zhuba. But he was well on top at the line, winning going away by neck.

Roger said: "Tenor has been a slow learner but he is gettig the hang of it now and can hopefully win again."

Tenor (far side) works on the Watered Gallop this week.
