The daughter of Iffraaj is out Irish Pretty Polly winner Tarshfi and a grand daughter of Cheveley Park scorer Pass The Peace.

She will retire to Darley when she finishes her racing career and will be an exciting mare to join Sheikh Ahmed's band of broodmares.

She was given a good ride by Jamie Spencer who settled her from a wide draw in the mid-field. She travelled well and strayed on gamely but couldn't match the finishing power of the winner Journey and runner-up Suffused.

They broke the track record in what was a strong listed contest and Tazffin will hopefully be winning at this level before too long.

On the same card Taneen made an encouraging start to his racing career when third in the six furlong maiden. He was drawn wide and showed signs of inexperience but made good headway to take third.
