The son of Speightstown made a promsing start to his career when third in a strong maiden at Salisbury a fortnight ago and stepped up on that to win easily under Paul Hanagan.

He broke well from the stalls and was soon travelling well on the heels of the leaders.

Paul eased him out and into the clear with a furlong and a half to run and Taneen skipped clear to win well by two lengths,

Roger said: "He has come on plenty for his debut run and has done it nicely. He has always shown plenty at home and there should be more to come."
