Stylistique doubles her winning tally and earns herself some valuable capital black type with an impressive victory in the Listed Prix Petite Etoile at Deauville under Olivier Peslier.

A high class two-year-old, Stylistique was placed four times last year and although she didn't win at two she finished the season on a handicap mark of 105 having finished second in the G2 Rockfel Stakes behind stablemate Daahyeh.

She won her seasonal reappearance in a 7f fillies' novice at Newbury and then we gradually stepped her up in trip in search of some more black type. Her most pleasing run until now probably came in the G3 Pride Stakes where she finished fifth on testing ground. The 9.5f trip of the Prix Petite Etoile (Listed) was sure to suit and Olivier Peslier kept things simple settling her in a prominent position on the wing. She travelled sweetly into the straight and responded well for pressure, extending away from her rivals inside the final furlong to record a 1¼l victory over Perfect Inch and the favourite Vadsena.

The win is very timely for her owner/breeder Yvonne Jacques whose Carisbrooke Stud offers Stylistique's three-parts brother at the Tattersalls Foal Sale on Friday (Lot 821).
