Sound Gloria showed tremendous determination to open her account at Catterick this afternoon, with the step up to a mile and a half suiting her well.

Ridden positively by Ray Dawson, she was briefly challenged, but she dug deep when it mattered most. Her stamina came to the fore as she stayed on strongly to score by half a length.

This stoutly bred daughter of Nathaniel has been a real labour of love for our Japanese work rider, Taiki Kumada. Taiki has shown incredible dedication and patience to give her every opportunity to fulfil her potential. It was especially rewarding to see that hard work repaid and he deserves enormous credit for the role he has played in her success.
