The Cheveley Park Stud-owned filly won her maiden at Lingfield last month and stepped up on that to win this competitive event in gutsy fashion.

She tracked the pace under Andrea Atzeni, still showing signs of greeness and racing in snatches.

Andrea kicked her into the lead going into 'The Dip' and she skipped a couple of lengths clear. She wandered a little in front but held on well to land the spoils by a length.

Roger said: She's a good filly and she's very big, so she's taken time to fill her frame and she's still a bit green, but she's always moved well.

“I felt there were several talented fillies in that race and we've won it well so the obvious move now would be to look for some Black Type."
