Oasis Dream filly ZANBAQ got on top when it mattered to score in the Betfred Supports Jack Berry House Fillies' Novice Stakes at Haydock under Dane O’Neill.

Despite a dwelt start from stall 3 and running a touch keen in the early stages ZANBAQ did settle in a prominent position for the majority of the course and distance. Over one furlong out Dane O’Neill asked for more and ZANBAQ responded well running on clear to win comfortably under hand and heels one and a quarter lengths ahead of the Sir Michael Stoute trained MELODY CHER who took the runner up spot.

Congratulations to winning owners Shadwell and connections. ZANBAQ justified favouritism in style this afternoon and she certainly shaped like a filly with an exciting potential this season.
