Save A Forest breaks her maiden at Wolverhampton on Saturday in the Get Your Ladbrokes Daily Odds Boost Maiden Fillies’ Stakes. Save A Forest progressed well from her first and second run, to win on the third attempt and doing so with plenty to spare.

Stall 10 was not an ideal draw which meant she was not well-placed early on, settling in the middle of the field behind the more fancied runners like the John and Thady Gosden trained Aliomaana. It looked as though Save A Forest would be held up leaving too much to do, but Jack Mitchell gave the filly a good ride and asked for more three furlongs out. Save A Forest responded well showing a good turn of foot to quicken five wide, cruising into contention and taking up pole position one furlong out. She ran on well to extend the advantage and record a 3¼ length victory for the Gredley family, making it a treble on the day at Wolverhampton for the in-form Jack Mitchell. The full sister to Group 3 placed Father of Jazz has proven that she is better over a further distance and we look forward to seeing what she has to offer for the rest of the season.
