Sallaal goes one better at Epsom than on seasonal debut and returned an emphatic winner with Group options in the pipeline
Overcoming a tough draw, the four-year-old son of Frankel broke well under jockey Ray Dawson and the pair gradually tracked across during the first furlong to join the field where they raced in mid-division. Sallaal hit the front in the homestraight and showed an impressive turn of foot to return a 6-and-a-half-length winner looking like a Group horse in the making.ย
A half brother to 1,000 Guineas winner Elmalka, it's a family that Varian Stable knows well and we are delighted for owner/ breeder Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum!
Congratulations to regular rider Tony Proctor and groom Asif Nazir.ย
