The highly progressive daughter of Too Darn Hot was impressive from a difficult draw and looks a black type filly in the making

Rumba Numba gives the stable back-to-back wins in the Bolney English Wine Fillies' Handicap on day one of the Glorious Goodwood Festival. It was a great ride from Jack Mitchell who positioned Rumba Numba prominently in the early stages and gave her plenty of room to accelerate into down the homestrait.

The four-year-old was last seen in the Kensington Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot where she finished a very creditable fifth after being denied a clear run. Now two from three this season, she is still very lightly raced and could look to step up into Stakes company next time.

Bred by owners Apple Tree Stud, she out of the Listed-winning mare Astonishing and is a half-sister to four black type performers.

Congratulations to all winning connections and her groom Prath Singh.
