He said: "I will be forever indebted to Michael and Gay for the opportunity they presented to me at the start of my training career. To start with a large string of horses and a strong roster of owners in an employed role was the kind of opportunity that someone like me could only have dreamed about.

"I now feel that it is the right time for me to build my own business. I have a great team of owners behind me and also a great team of staff working with me. We are very excited about what the future holds and are looking to use the momentum that we’ve taken from the last two years to continue to build and improve."
