RIDE THE THUNDER wasn't to settle for silver accolades today, running on nicely to get his career off the mark at Nottingham.
The three-year-old Night of Thunder colt was second on all three starts last year, but he showed a nice attitude this afternoon to hold on and win by a neck from Spanish Train. Stepping up to 1m2f for the first time, Ride The Thunder raced prominently under Ray Dawson and ran on well in the closing stages to take up the lead inside the final furlong.
Congratulations to Victorious Racing.
A thrilling end to the https://t.co/7k1uvzkHnu Maiden Stakes, as Ride The Thunder stops his string of second-placed efforts with a solid success here, driven to the line by @Raydawson101 for @varianstable 🏆 pic.twitter.com/qRxMFw8rmh
