The £60,000 prize was previously run as a Listed contest and the roll of honour includes our very own Nezwaah, who won the race in 2016 prior to triumphing at the highest level in the G1 Pretty Polly Stakes on the corresponding weekend twelve months ago.

Owned by Mr Nurlan Bizakov, Rasima will face eight rivals as she tries to emulate her illustrious former stable companion and the daughter of Iffraaj will once again be partnered by Andrea Atzeni.

Roger said: “Rasima acquitted herself well when upped in class at Newbury and while she would have to take another step forward to get involved here, she’s in good form and she won’t mind the artificial surface.”

Earlier on the card, Atletico will return to the course and distance of his last success when lining up in the valuable Gosforth Park Cup.

Roger said: “Atletico enjoyed a productive, if somewhat frustrating, winter on the all-weather and things didn’t go right for him at Pontefract. We gave him a short break afterwards and have targeted this race since given the course and distance suits him ideally. Stall one might not be perfect, but there looks to be some pace on paper.”

The very best of luck to all connections.
