A likeable effort from Amo Racing’s Raadobarg provided the team with a second turf winner of the season in the seven-furlong novice at Leicester this afternoon.

The three-year-old had made a low-key debut over the same trip at Doncaster last July, but it was a run that wasn’t without promise and he has been showing signs that he’s really learning his job in his home work. That morning athleticism was transferred to the track under his owner’s retained rider Rossa Ryan, always travelling nicely behind the pace set by the once-raced Tromso & willingly picking up between rivals when Rossa asked him to do so. Coming nicely clear with the form horse Ensyaaby gives the form a sound look to it, and we can be hopeful of further improvement from this impressive-looking individual as the year goes on.

Despite being a half-brother to the smart 100 plus-rated sprinters Captain Dunne and Classic Blade, Raadobarg looks like he’ll be at home over an extra furlong in time.
