December has seen us send out just a handful of runners and this pattern is set to continue for another few weeks.

The team at home have been busy breaking in the yearlings, making renovations to the yard and enjoying some well-deserved 'down time'.

Early January will see the return of many of the yard's older horses who have been away on their winter holidays and it is always interesting and exciting to see how well they have 'done' on their spells away.

Newmarket has been experiencing a particularly cold snap at present with temperatures barely making it above freezing for the last few days.

The team at Jockey Club Estates do a fantastic job making it possible to get the horses out to canter but we are very fortunate to be able to use our covered ride.
