The daughter of Holy Roman Emperor overcame greeness to win cosily under William Buick.

She was slowly away but was soon attached to the main group, settling into a good rhythm at the rear of the field.

She travelled strongly and Buick eased her out to the middle of the track to make her challenge.

She loomed up to join the leaders at the furlong pole and soon went into the lead. At this point her inexperience set in and she pricked her ears and idled.

Nonetheless, victory was never in doubt and Buick nudged her out under hands and heels to win by three quarters of a length.

Roger said: "I was impressed with that. She was green but I liked the way she travelled into the race. We'll see how she is at home before deciding future targets."
