Prince Of Petra showed plenty of promise when stretching clear of the field at Kempton this evening to land his maiden second time out

Only two out of 13 horses in the field had the benefit of having prior experience, and Prince Of Petra capitalised on this as he settled much better than on debut and showed a more professional attitude when asked to come out and pass horses.

When jockey Sean D Bowen kicked for home Prince Of Petra showed a big galloping gait to pass more than half the field and win going away.

He is a well bred colt by Persian King and is a half brother to Group 1 winner and Derby runner-up Maltese Cross.

Congratulations to winning owners Quantum Leap XII & groom Imam Mohammed.
