ORCHARD KEEPER enjoys the step up in trip at Goodwood, running on gamely to win in the hands of Jack Mitchell.
The four-year-old Churchill filly notched a first career success this time last year, winning over 1m2f at Newmarket’s July Course. She has put in some pleasing performances since, but a step up to 1m6f proved to be the ticket back into the winners enclosure this afternoon. Orchard Keeper travelled sweetly in touch with the leaders and responded well when sent for home down the outer of the field, driven to the line by Jack Mitchell to come out just under a length the better of Al Khawaneej River.
Many congratulations to the Crager family!
