The son of Azamour had raced too freely in maiden company but was suited by making the running under Neil Callan.

Neil set the fractions to perfection and kicked off the final bend. Orbison soon stretched clear of his rivals, winning by two and three quarter lengths.

Roger said: "It's great to get a winner for owner Alan Spence and I hope this horse will improve for racing."

Duroble Man ran another solid race to be third in the 1m2f handicap at the same track.
