A good looking son of Byron, Mustajjid over came greenness to win in the hands of Andrea Atzeni.

Andrea soon tracked the leaders aboard the 4/5 favourite but he was on and off the bridle, showing signs of inexperience.

He stayed on terms with the leaders however, and once the penny dropped he ran on strongly down the outside.

Elusive George looked set for victory but Mustajjid hit the line running, getting up to score by a short head.

Roger said: "Mustajjid was very green. He did well to win and ran on strongly once he realised he was racing.

"It wasn't a very strong race but he is a good looking colt who should improve with racing."
