Ryan Moore, drawn in the favoured stall one, made all aboard Morawij, timing the fractions to perfection.

Having travelled strongly, Moore went for home with over a furlong to go and kept enough up his sleeve to hold off the fast-finishing March by a neck.

Roger said: "He has so much speed. I am not sure that making the running is the ideal way to ride him I think he is better coming off the pace and using his speed later on.

"He ran well in the Temple and it was great for him to get his head in front today. I think he could make up into a very useful sprinter."

Morawij works under Iva Milickova on the watered gallop this week.
