Mike will replace David Eustace, who is set for pastures new after five seasons as assistant trainer.

David joined as pupil-assistant to Michael Jarvis in May 2010 before becoming assistant trainer when Roger took over the licence at Kremlin House Stables in March 2011.

David played an integral role in the smooth transition between Michael and Roger and has been a key factor in the stable’s success ever since.

Roger said: “I would like to thank David for all his hard work and dedication over the past five seasons. We are sad to see him go but it is the right time for him to move on and I wish him all the luck for the future.

“I am delighted to have secured Mike’s services. He brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise from his time with Sir Henry Cecil and Godolphin before that. I am very much looking forward to working with Mike; his addition is of huge benefit to us as a team.”
