The son of City Zip had shown promise for his previous yard and won in ready fashion under Dane O'Neill.

Dane soon settled Miguel Grau on the heels of the leader. He travelled strongly before making his challenge rounding the final bend.

He hit the front with over a furlong to go and powered clear to win by eight lengths.

Roger said: "We have been patient with him and it has been rewarded. He has won nicely."
