The son of City Zip has been in terrific form on the all-weather this autumn, winning twice and finishing second and third on his other two starts.

He was drawn wide on Wednesday but Andrea Atzeni soon had him in a good position tracking the leading bunch.

Andrea took closer order rounding the final bend and was perfectly poised to strike when they straightened up.

He quickened up smartly to take the lead with over a furlong to run and, despite pricking his ears, he kept on to win convincingly by a length and three quarters.

Roger said: "Miguel Grau has improved for the step up in trip and did it nicely."
