A good start to 2021 for the yard continued this evening as La Tihaty made it five winners from 12 runners for the year at Chelmsford.

The three-year-old, owned by Shaikh Nasser Al Khalifa & Partner, got off the mark in eye-catching fashion at Lingfield earlier in the month and followed up over the same seven-furlong trip at Chelmsford, a 7lb penalty and a steady gallop ensuring the winning margin wasn't as clear-cut as at Lingfield, but with jockey Cameron Noble giving the impression things were just about under control from a furlong out.

La Tihaty is by the French Derby winner New Bay, out of a French 11 furlong winner who is a half-sister to Listed horses at 7-10 furlongs. He can reasonably be expected to improve again for tonight's experience and, in keeping with his pedigree, another furlong in the short-term.

Congratulations to his owners who have another potentially nice horse on their hands.
