Roger said: “I have walked the track this morning and the ground is good to firm. The ground staff have done a good job watering but unfortunately for us, they haven’t had any more rain than the 5ml which fell on Thursday night.

“Yesterday evening it appeared it was raining all around The Curragh but none on the racecourse itself.

“At this stage of the season, with so many big races ahead, we feel it is in the best interest of the horse not to run on fast ground.

"It was not an easy decision but having discussed it with Paul Smith we felt it was the right one."
