Runner up at Nottingham over 1 mile in her race debut three weeks earlier, KIND GESTURE appreciated the drop down in trip this time round, putting in a decisive performance to score in a determined fashion in the JM Finn Wealth Management Restricted Novice Stakes at Wetherby.

KIND GESTURE (June 2022)

The 3YO daughter of Decorated Knight had shown promise on her racecourse debut last time out, she had clearly benefitted from the experience and it was pleasing to see this promise come to fruition today. With the talented David Egan at the helm KIND GESTURE broke well and secured a prominent position over the majority of the course and distance. Coming into the home straight Egan made a decisive challenge on the leader LUMLEY from the Harry Eustace yard, KIND GESTURE dug in gaining ground with every stride, it was noses to the line as the leading pair hit the finish, KIND GESTURE did just enough to land the spoils. It was a close family affair as LUMLEY, piloted by David Egan’s cousin Paul Mulrennan, secured runner up position by only a head.
