The Bet365 Mile is the highlight of a good quality Sandown card on Friday, and we're very much looking forward to testing the limits of Khuzaam's ability after his wide-margin success in the All-Weather Championship Mile on Good Friday.

The Shadwell-owned five-year-old has spent the majority of his career racing on an all-weather surface and has finished runner-up at Listed level at a mile and slightly shorter, with the gelding operation he had over the winter appearing to help improve his finishing effort as he really cleared away from his pursuers in the AW Mile having perhaps held a bit back when hitting the front on previous occasions.

Although lightly-raced on grass, the second of his two runs on turf saw him finish what was in hindsight a good second to subsequent dual Listed-winning filly Scentasia at Yarmouth, so we would be confident of him continuing on his upward trajectory back on the surface. He's in great form and we look forward to him taking on a high-class rival in dual G1 winner Palace Pier.
