Sheikh Hamdan's gelding put up a bold display when second in an Oaks Day handicap at Epsom last time out and deserved this confidence boosting victory.

Paul Hanagan made every yard of the running on the son of First Samurai and he stretched clear unchallenged to win by an eased down three lengths.

Roger said: "Kafeel had a hard race at Epsom so winning easily will have done his confidence plenty of good.

"A mile and a quarter could be within range and he is a progressive three-year-old."
