The son of Pivotal made an encourgaing debut at Lingfield last week where he finished a length-second to a 75-rated colt of David Elsworth's.

Yesterday's rivals had been awarded ratings of 29, 35 and 36 respectively and Kabbaas was seen as a 'good thing'.

Often in racing things don't go to plan but thankfully the race went without a hitch and Kabbaas returned the winner by some 20 lengths under Chris Catlin.

Roger said: "You get some poor maidens at this time of year but that was probably one of the weakest I have ever seen. He has done it nicely and can hopefully build on this."

On Saturday, Huffoof made a promising debut when second at Lingfield.
