The two-year-olds were on flying form at Kempton Racecourse, with AZURE ANGEL soaring to a second career victory for Opulence Thoroughbreds, and an eye-catching debut from DRAGON ICON giving Varian Stable a new career-best of 134 domestic wins for the year!

AZURE ANGEL built on a promising debut to break her maiden in pleasing style last month at Kempton. Making only her third career start this evening, the daughter of World Champion sprinter Harry Angel justified favouritism with confident performance, sprinting to success under David Egan and defying a penalty in the process.

Congratulations to Opulence Thoroughbreds and connections.

DRAGON ICON made it a quick-fire double on the card for Varian Stable and David Egan, flying down the home straight to shed his maiden tag on debut with an eye-catching performance. The Lope De Vega juvenile was a 360,000gns Tattersalls Book 1 purchase by Blandford Bloodstock - and he certainly has a pedigree to fuel excitement, being an own-brother to G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf heroine Aunt Pearl!

Congratulations to owner Yoshiro Kubota.
