Sheikh Ahmed's son of More Than Ready had finished third on both his previous starts to date, including over a furlong shorter at the same track two weeks ago.

He travelled sweetly in the hands of Andrea Atzeni, just on the heels of the pacesetter Watersmeet.

Andrea went for a brave run up the inside on entering the straight but when Watersmeet drifted back to towards the rail, his path was blocked.

All credit to Jaahiez as he picked up well once swtiched around Watersmeet, squeezing between that rival and the odds on favourite Premium Pressure to get up on the line.

The winning distance was a short- head.

Roger said: "He did well to win having had to switch round the runner-up with two (furlongs) to run. The step up to a mile has suited and hopefully he can be competitive in handicaps now."
