The daughter of Sir Percy has been running consistently well all season and thoroughly deserved this breakthrough success.

Brighton's famous sea fret swept in making visibilty impossible but Dominic Fox was able to settle Sound Hearts just behind the leader Cochabamba who set a fast early gallop.

The leader gave way with three furlongs to run leaving Sound Hearts in front. She was clear of the rest of her rivals and maintained the gallop to win easily by six lenghts.

Roger said: "She has been knocking on the door and it's great to see her win. She is well bred so it was important that she got her head in front."
