The daughter of Iffraaj is a half-sister to Breeders' Cup winner Vale of York so this victory was essential in terms of her future as a broodmare.

She was inconvienced by a wide draw and Andrea Atzeni was forced to take a wide path throughout.

She took a while to get going up the straight and the eventual runner up, Wall of Sound, did't go do without a fight but she was in front when in mattered, passing the post a neck up.

Roger said: "She is still green and pricks her ears when she hit the front. We will probably step her up in trip when she tackles handicaps."
