Any concerns about the group level ability of ZEYAADAH after the Oaks were firmly put to bed by her impressive performance in the G3 William Hill Hoppings Stakes this afternoon.

The fancied Shadwell filly justified favouritism and stamped her mark in quality company at Newcastle. Breaking from stall 8 under Jim Crowley, the pair settled near the back of the field behind the early pace setter of Tom Marquand aboard Lilac Road from the William Haggas yard. Despite being held up initially and taking time to get organised under pressure the pair made ground up impressively. Challenging Technique inside the final 110yds, Zeyaadah showed a striking turn of foot and cruised through to take the lead in the closing stages, staying on well to come out on top at the line.

A professional and well timed ride, beautifully judged by the experienced Jim Crowley. Congratulations to the Shadwell Estate Co. and connections. The Tamayuz filly will have gained confidence from this run and looks set, all being well, to handle a step back up in grade after showing today that she has all the makings of a Group One filly over the 1m4f course and distance.
