The daughter of Holy Roman Emperor won the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot last time out and improved again to finish a gallant second in this prestigious Group 1.

Jockey Johnny Murtagh set an even gallop up front before kicking for home going into the 'Dip'. It looked for a few strides as though victory was likely but the french super-filly Vorda showed a sparkling turn of foot to sweep by and into the lead.

When headed Princess Noor stuck on gamely and was beaten just three-quarters of a length.

Roger said: "She has run a great race. She has improved again and proved that her Ascot win was no fluke.

"Johnny said he thought she may stay a mile so I would think that we will train her with the 1000 Guineas in mind."
