King Power’s GREATGADIAN makes it two in a row over the same course and distance, successful here last time out in April. Today lands the 1 mile 2 furlong Besti Handicap in style under jockey Ray Dawson at Chelmsford.

The four year old son of Siyouni justified market favouritism this afternoon, putting the race to bed in an impressive fashion despite a 6lb rise since his last appearance. Dawson settled GREATGADIAN in a strong position in second before being pushed along over 2f out. It was a clash of the Greats in the closing stages, GREATGADIAN challenging and prevailing over PETER THE GREAT from the neighbouring John and Thady Gosden string.

Congratulations to KING POWER and connections. GREATGADIAN’s 4YO campaign certainly seems to be an exciting one and we look forward to what more he can go onto to do this season.
