ETON Forever may be seven-years old but he looked as good as ever when winning the Listed Leicestershire Stakes on his seasonal return at Leicester this afternoon.

The son of Oratorio had been off the track for over ten months but he has a good record fresh and his work at home was showing us that he retained all of his ability and enthusiasm.

This also proved to be the case on the track as he travelled with ease under Andrea Atzeni, just in behind the leader Dubawi Sound.

Entering the final two furlongs Andrea pressed the button and Eton Forever bounded clear to win easily by three lengths.

Roger said: "He is a wonderful horse. I am very fond of him - he was my first winner as a trainer and also my first Royal Ascot winner.

"He has a good record fresh and his work at home this spring has been as good as ever. A little cut in the ground is key to him nowadays but when conditions are right, he is very good."
