The son of Oratorio has been a real star over the years, winning a Spring Cup, the Buckingham Palace Stakes and a Listed race at Redcar.

This performance was all the more impressive as he gave weight to all his rivals including the Group 1-placed Gregorian.

Neil Callan gave Eton Forever the perfect ride, settling him on the heels of the leading duo.

He travelled strongly before making his challenge with two furlongs to run. Eton Forever struck the front and battled in typically game fashion to repel Gregorian by a head.

Roger said: "This horse has been very good to me and he just gets better - that was a career best on the figures today as he was giving them all weight."
