Enfjaar relishes the step up in trip and makes all to win the Group 3 Coral Glorious Stakes for new connections

The six-year-old-son of Lope De Vega notched his last win in the John Smith's Cup at York just over two years ago. Having ran some very creditable races since, including this year's Wolferton Stakes at Royal Ascot where he had no luck in running and placing third in Listed company on seasonal debut back here at Goodwood the start before, it's great to see him back in the winners' enclosure.

Enfjaar got into a lovely rhythm under Ray Dawson and set the pace from the front. They quickened up over three furlongs out and when the field came to challenge one furlong out Enfjaar was able to find another gear and lengthened all the way to the line.

A first win in the Standish silks, huge congratulations to the winning owners T & Mrs L Standish & Mrs A Spence, groom Stephen Edgar & regular rider Tony Proctor.
