Enfjaar will take on seventeen rivals when he makes his first outing Down Under in the historic 150th running of the Caulfield Cup in the early hours of Saturday morning.
An all the way winner of the Group 3 Coral Glorious Stakes at Goodwood in August to book his spot, Enfjaar will break from stall one when tackling the mile and a half test in Australia this weekend, with regular rider Ray Dawson also in line to make the trip.
He will face a whole host of home challengers, headed by last year's memorable Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup winner Half Yours, as well as two Northern Hemisphere contenders in the shape of Harry Charlton's Wine Dark Sea and Joseph O'Brien's Starford.
The six-year-old son of Lope De Vega has enjoyed his time in Australia since making the journey late last month and we wish owners Mrs A Spence and mRS K L Standish& T standish the best of luck for the coming weekend.
